Cookie Policy
What are Cookies
Cookies are small text files containing minimal information that a server can send to the browser and the user's computer, smartphone, or other device each time a website or social network is visited. The same server that recorded them can read the cookies stored on the device to obtain various types of information.
There are different types of cookies:
- Permanent cookies (persistent cookies) that remain on the computer until the user deletes them.
- Temporary cookies (session cookies) that are deactivated when the browser is closed.
Cookies can also be distinguished by their use:
- Profiling cookies that are used to collect sensitive user data for promotional and advertising purposes.
- Technical cookies that are used solely to carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or as strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are essential cookies for the website's operation or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
The following types fall under the category of technical cookies:
- "Analytics" cookies used directly by the site manager to collect aggregated statistics on the number of users and how they visit the site itself.
- Navigation or session cookies.
- Functionality cookies that allow the user to navigate based on a set of selected criteria (e.g., language, selected products for purchase) to improve the service provided.
There are also "third-party cookies", i.e., cookies from sites or web servers other than that of the Data Controller, used for the purposes of these third parties, including profiling cookies. These third parties are autonomous data controllers of the data collected through the cookies they serve; therefore, the user must refer to their policies on personal data processing, information, and consent forms (selection and deselection of the respective cookies), as specified in the General Provision of May 8, 2014, on the "Identification of simplified methods for information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies."
